QUALIFYING INSTRUCTIONS FOR SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDATES

(Qualifying window – Aug 4 thru Sep 3, 2010)

  • Complete the Qualifying Statement of Intent and submit with Petition
  • Make at least 4 copies of petition for 50 signatures
  • PLEASE MAKE SURE PETITIONERS INCLUDE ALL INFORMATION AND WRITE LEGIBLY
  • Each petition page should include name of candidate, office sought and date of election
  • At least 50 qualified electors of the school sub-district must be certified in order for candidate to meet qualifications
  • Contact the appropriate Election Commissioner to verify district lines
  • Submit the Qualifying Statement and completed Petition to the Circuit Clerk by Sept 3, 2010
